Germany is a beautiful country with wonderful people. That is why it so horrifying to realize the inhumanity and cruelty that people can show to each other. If the Germans were capable of these things, who is to say we are not all capable of doing these things.

We must never forget.

Germans
Some people have said ALL Germans are evil,but i am sorry to say that all Germans are NOT evil.Whether we like it or not evryone has a little bad in them.It is not just the Germans who have killed many people.Everyday someone is killed in America and every where,but NO ONE and i mean NO ONE has the right to say that just GERMANS are evil.Everyone makes a mistake or does something wrong in your life time and NO i am not saying that the holocost was not wrong because indeed it was.God made evryone in his image and that is including the GERMANS.Think of it this way,lets say that we have a group of Americans in Germany that just goes around and kills people in Germany.Does that make ALL Americans evil?I dont think so because not ALL Americans were involved in it just like not ALL Germans were involved in the Holocost.As a mater of fact some Germans were friends with the Jews and actually trying to help them.So whoever thinks ALL Germans are evil i would advise you to think about it again.

The holocaust
Agreed that the germans are evil and inferior. They had to persecute the jews to hide their own inferiority. Remember most of the smart scientists in germany at the time such as Albert Einstein were jews and the inferior Germans could not accept that the jews were just intellectually superior to stinking aryans. The Germans of today still behave like the german savages of hitler's time and they need to be dealt with before they start another war. I have no problem if the A-bomb was used on them like it was used on Japan.

I disagree with the idea that the Germans were not evil, and that anyone else could have done what they allowed Hitler to do. The Germans began World War 1.From the date of 1400 to 1700, or there abouts, the Germans burned thousands of witches at the stake. The Protestant reformation is blamed for this, but in other nations fewer people were condemmed for working with the Devil. The fall of the Hapsburgs, an unworkable scheme as is the EU also led to great trouble, but other nations switched from their kings and queens also. . The idea of heriditary usefullness of various persons may have originated in America, but Hitler used this idea to gain power. Perhaps if Hitler had not believed that his parents murdered his younger brother and sister, the racial question and the question of the heriditary unfit would not have been so appealing.The Germans were evil. what makes us different than Hitler?
To Hitler it was okay that Jews and others were mercilessly killed. How could he justify murdering thousands of people?? I am reminded of the slaves and how many thought it was okay to have slaves and to be cruel to THEM, because they were a different color. What about today? Is there anything in our society that people think is okay to do, as they are blinded by what is right? YES! many countless babies are killed every day in abortions. these lives started at conception are being aborted and killed, in cruel ways. Doctors say to young mothers saying that the fetuses are nothing, just a blob while in fact they are humans. Partial birth abortion is so inhumane and many people do not see the cruelity. This lack of respecting humans reminds me of the way Jews were treated as well as slaves. Shouldn't we rethink the way we look at human lives? They are made in God's image, no matter what age, color, or nationality and need to be respected.

I visited the Dachau Concentration Camp on April 29, 2005 (exactly 60 years to the day of Liberation by American Soldiers). I had the opportunity to meet a survivor of the camp, although we spoke differnet languages, I felt the pain and sadness that he continues to carry with him. The visit was an emotional one that left me feeling sad that so much suffering took place at this camp. The emotion I felt was but a small minute portion of what actually took place due to a mad man's plan to create a superior race. It also left me feeling proud that I am an American whose father fought against Hitlers Army in France. May God Bless all of those who have suffered do to this camp of insanity.

Certainly, not all Germans are bad. As a matter of fact, I found all the Germans I met to be very nice people. My fear is that WE ALL have a capability somewhere deep inside us for evil, which can come out if we don't control it - especially if we have evil leaders.

And the hopeful thing is, as you say, there are those who will do good in the overwhelming presence of evil. They should be our example.
