Jewish Quarter<br> Macedonia picture - In Veria there is an old Jewish quarter. Many of the buildings are in pretty bad shape but they are being restored. It is quite an interesting area. There is a street there named "The Avenue of Martyrs", named in memory of all the Jews that were taken from this area to concentration camps by the Nazis in WWII.
