San Terenzo, an enchanting little seaside town dominated and protected by its castle, has over the centuries attracted and captured the imagination of all kinds of visitors from simple people to aristocrats, and inspired artists and poets such as Byron, Sem Benelli and Mantegazza. But the name most closely connected to San Terenzo must be that of Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822).
