March 2004 I traveled in Jordan with my daughter. We had a great time, saw lots of Islamic architecture, met friendly people and had no trouble travelling individually. Our route was: Amman (2 day)- Petra (1 day)-Jearsh (1 day) - Akaba,Mount Nebo and Madaba(1 day). Biblical tradition says that Moses died on this mountain top after having seen the promised land beyond, in which he could never set foot. Madaba is known as "the mosaic city".
