This article is about Bharathanatiyam, the sculptures are clasic example of the beauty of the dance. Each sculpture conveys a theme. I am ignorant of Bharathanatiyam to explain what they are. I shall be pleased if any reader can explain it.

The Hoysalas were a martial race, but that did not interfere with their interest in culture, as is apparent in their music, dance and the art. Halibid is a testimoney.

I have presented these pictures for the benifit of

1 Western world to understand the treasures hidden in India.

2 Srilankan Tamils displaced through out the world and trying to teach their children Bharathanatiyam.

3 The Indians living abroad to show their children the civilisation they have left behind.
