Hei Shrine
Churches, Temples & Mosques in Tokyo picture - The Hei Shrine is one of many Shinto shrines in Japan. The Shinto religion practices ancestor worship, and is Japan's state religion. Worshippers pull a bell on the alter at the front of the building in front center to get the attention of the gods, pray, toss a coin into a wooden chest in front, then clap twice to end. Visitors are welcome.
