The design took account of the fact that being a residential district, the distribution of pedestrian traffic at Golden Palms would have to be an integral constituent of circulation planning. The scheme thereby incorporated pedestrian network as an ancillary development of the vehicular circulation. Spacious walkways were interlaced within the green open spaces that flanked the primary, secondary and tertiary arterial avenues from where the pedestrian traffic was laterally dissipated to the residential street sections. All pre-ambulatory routes traversing the residential quadrants were designed to culminate in the focal voids that were to be articulated as open, recreational suburban piazzas.
