We were guests at the resort owned by Russia's Central Bank, Amur Region. This is an upscale facility in the outskirts of Blagoveshensk. Swimming pool, sauna, banya, beautiful rooms with kitchens, landscaped grounds, playgrounds, and on the river. I saw it from the train again when we left Blagoveshensk to return to Khabarovsk. Wanted to jump off the train and spend a few more days here! As I understand it, this resort is for the employees and their families of Russia's Central Bank . Since it was September, it was nearly empty and so we were able to have rooms. I had a room to myself...once again I was in heaven.
