Winterset Iowa is the birthplace of John Wayne . He made over 100 movies in his lifetime,and his house has been restored to it,s original 1907 vintage . There are lots of souvenirs that you can purchase , and tours are given all year long. The Bridges in Madison County are beautiful , and have also been restored .The Roseman Bridge is famous for the movie [Bridges of Madison County].
