This is an Arizona Desert in the springtime. I think this is possibly the best time to visit. The weather is perfect and hiking in the desert in Spring is the best.

  Wild Poppy's One day we were out exploring and came upon a patch of flowers and my son sat down to wait for me when I caught this on film.

  My son in the flowers There are many species of cactus here in the desert such as this Ocotillo, it/s pretty tall and full of little green leaves.

  Ocotillo If you hike around for awhile you come across neat old things like this gate, which make for interesting photographs.

  Poppy's and an Old Gate One of my favorite things to take pictures of (and mainly for people who have never seen them before) is of the saguaro cactus. They are really big cactus with thorns all over. They just are beautiful. Late in the spring they get big white blooms on the very tops of their /arms/.

  Saguaro Cactus Arizona is a beautiful place to visit, I highly recommend to people when they talk about coming for a vacation, to do it in the spring and to explore the desert. There are many treasures out there too.....
