If you plan on visiting the Grand Canyon before May, you better do your home work...only the South Rim is open in April and traveling into the park is not easy. We opted for The Grand Canyon Railway. This train departs daily from Williams and is a true treat. If you love Route 66 then drive the moter road right into Williams and spend the day via Train. Book early and take advantage of some of the more unique cars (obversation car-no children under 12 allowed and luxury car are two favorites).
