When I travel, I always plan on having my big meal at lunch. Most hotels offer coffee and goodies. I find by saving on breakfast I can stop at the nicer places for lunch. Another bonus is the lunch specials are usually great and at a much lower price.

Do not be afraid to set aside an extra hour or so, first do not eat at places right off the highway. Everyone is in a hurry and you do not see anything but fast food. This day as I traveled I spotted the name of a city and it was 17 miles off the main highway. So off I ... (more)
