On the last weekend in June, Sara and I visited the Cork City Gaol located in Sunday's Well in Cork City. We spent a couple of hours wandering through the prison listening to a self-guided tour on personal headsets.

The prison was opened in the 1820's and remained in operation for nearly 100 years. In it's last few years, it was strictly a women's prison.
