Your fine photos bring back lots of memories of when we stayed there in 1993. Everything was great except the dinner service one night, when a large party was going on next door. Actress Stephanie Powers was about to be married the next day, in the bush, and many dignitaries including Queen Noor of Jordan apparently attracted all the good restaurant help. We were almost left to ourselves, but somehow the beauty of the place still overwhelmed us and we left with great memories. Thanks again for jogging them.

Miss Powers , as you probably know , was William Holden's companion for many years until his death.

Footnote to " Interesting "
William Holden slipped on a woolen bedside rug and bled to death in his apartment back in the US in 1971. Six years later in October, Ray Ryan was killed in a mysterious automobile explosion in California. The cause of it is still unknown and the case has never been solved. Approximately 3 months prior to this tragedy, owership of MKSC changed hands.

Interesting
I watched a television documentary on this place. The owners were 50s-60s era actor William Holden and businessnam Ray Ryan. After losing ownership to a notorious international arms dealer, both Holden and Ryan died of unnatural causes.
