*Once again, our original plan was to travel India extensively.

However, the flight from Manila to New Delhi cost a whooping $750 roundtrip (back in 2002) while the flight with KAL from S.F.-Manila only cost $600 yet the distance is much farther versus Manila-India.

Hence, we went to H.K. [from Manila] which only cost $200+ roundtrip & planned on travelling overland to Burma enroute to India.

But that didn't happen since there's just so many fine places in both China & Burma that both countries ultimately consumed all our time!
