It was while walking down Aberdeen harbor looking at the pretty "sampans" [junk boats] when this elderly woman approached us, offering a tour around the harbor in one of the sampans for $120 H.K. which is equivalent to $15 U.S. ($1 U.S. = $8 H.K.) In reply, we simply told her no since it's too costly for us while walking away slowly. (We told her that we're merely contract workers from the Philippines & thus, doesn't have much money:) However, she kept walking with us & lowered the price to $100 H.K. which we still declined.
