Thorn Trees
We just some property in Dardanelle. Those THORN trees are all over. Some are large and some are smaller bush like. When you get stuck by the thorn if the point breaks off in you skin there is a slight toxin in the thorn. VERY painful to extract. I've learned to wear heavy leather gloves when trimming.

I am pretty sure those thorn trees are everywhere on our property.

thanks for all the photos. i grew up in athens, ar until i was five then moved to pike county. i live in an east coast city now, and these pix make me miss the area terribly. if you ever get the opportunity to make it to the top of tall peak, take it. you can see my grandmother's house from there. i can't believe they closed the road to vehicles.

Winter photography in this area would be really cool!

I always love to see your new postings! These two are great. I live about 45 miles from Knoppers Ford & Jack Creek & haven't been to either one. They are now on my 'destination' list! thanks for the great pics!
