Tomb of Emperor
Try going to this site and have a look at an image of the tomb of Qin Shi Huang (click on the circles). It is the site of a remarkable 2 hour TV program that was recently on the Discovery Channel. You might have seen it.

Chinese archaeologists have determined the shape of the tomb under the mound. You can see a dark image of it by clicking on "Divided Pyramid."

They have also found that the interior of the tomb chamber is intact. It is about the size of a football field!!

Soil samples have determined that there is indeed a map of his China inside the tomb -- with seas and rivers of mercury!! Apparently, the mercury was set in motion by some kind of machine.

I have been to China three times on business and regret not having been able to visit Xi'an. Thank you for sharing your pictures. The large blue pot is indeed not for bathing. My friend who lives in Bejing told me the large pots at the Forbidden City (Gold plated originally) were filled with water and were strategically placed for for fire protection. Jon

If one can't afford to go all the way to China, there are reproductions of many of these things at "Splendid China", a park owned by the Govt. of China, at the opposite side of Orlando, FLorida from Disney World! Much more peaceful, cheaper, and more tranquil than D.W.!!
