Ancient Chinese Terracotta in Xi'an (1)<br> Xi'an picture - These life size terracotta soldiers were made and buried more than 2000 years ago for the Emperor and they were only unearthed in 1974 accidentally by farmers digging for a well. Unfortunately a lot of them were damaged and the colours faded away quickly soon after excavation.
