Koay Jetty (Northern part of Penang) and the nearby mangrove swamp, will be in history soon, as the state goverment will proceed to demolish these places for its development plans there.

State Housing, Culture, Arts and Heritage Committee chairman said they would not preserve the jetty and the swamps which were not located within the heritage zone demarcated in George Town.
