Crater Lake is one spot in Oregon that everyone should visit at some point in time. Our family always travels there in early June. If you time it just right, the road that circles the lake is free of snow, but hasn/t yet been opened to vehicular traffic. At that time of year, the road is a perfect place for long hikes, or bike rides. There are miles and miles of hiking trails around the lake, which double as cross country ski trails in the winter time. The water in Crater Lake is some of the purest around, and the views are ...
