Paris is well known for its parks and all tourists are brought to see the main ones - Luxembourg, Tuilleries, etc. A cousin of mine living in Paris brought me one day to see this park and it is indeed enchanting. The Parc des Buttes Chaumont is in the 19th district of Paris. It is in an old, abandoned, quarry and has been built by Mr. Haussmann (the same man on whose name is the boulevard where the Galeries Lafayette is) who was at the time a Mayor of Paris.
