Admitting defeat
There is no further need for discussion. The C-5 is much smaller than the An-225, with only 2/3 overall thrust rating, if that. The Galaxy's service record, however, goes back to the late 1960's, if I'm not mistaken, and even the An-124 is just another example of the Soviet's trait of "flattery" of our designs. Remember their copy of our Boeing B-29?

I don't think there is any competition between the C5 and the Antanov 225. The 225 makes the Antanov 124 look small and the 124 is bigger than the C5!!

I have noticed that at most airshows, the West is reluctant to pit their "equivalent" aircraft against those of the East e.g. B-1 vs TU-160 etc. I would like to see a head to head contest between the An 225 and the C-5, to settle the dipute once and for all.
