August 8th, 2004 I visited Point Sal State Beach, in Santa Barbara County, California. The fog obscured some views, but made for a dreamy surreal experience of a remote unspoiled beach. The road washed out many years ago, so the only way to visit now is either by boat or a 11 mile round-trip hike. Well worth the effort.
