The Rhône Valley today is well supplied by various forms of transportation. There are to the east the A5 Autoroute, railway lines on either side of the river and at Tournons sur Rhône,the tiny Train à Vapeur going westwards into the hinterland. In doing so it rises something like 300 metres in 30 Km. Primarily a tourist attraction it does carry some goods up to the town of Lamastre.
