Ailsa Craig is usually visible from the coast but on this very hazy day it slowly emerged from the murk. We are all at the side of the boat waiting to get a good view of the island. Now you would think from this heading that we were on the correct side. But no!. As we approached the island the steamer turned starboard and we all had to change sides, and then jostle for a space amongst those in the know.
