My blurry rendition of the mausoleum:)<br> Scenery in England picture - As stated back in Part 1, Charles Howard (the political chameleon & "3rd Earl of Carlisle" who built Castle Howard), was buried here. Originally, he was buried in a local parish church 3 miles away from the estate, but was removed here when the mausoleum was finished. *The mausoleum continues to be the burial place of the Howard family.
