Romancing the Waterfall When I lived in Veracruz, I did go to this place but very few times, I was just a student in the university, and while I was living there I thought, it was there so I didn/t go as often as I could, once I left Mexico, I missed seeing that beautiful place. Many years ago we went to see a movie, I like adventure movies so we decided to go see *Romancing The Stone* with Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner, when I saw the place I recognized it inmediately. In the movie they said it was Cartagena, Colombia but it was not!! It was the Texolo cascade, behind the cascade there is a nice small cave, if you want to sit down and enjoy the waterfall, just stay there, or walk a little bit and then you will find yourself looking at a nice cliff and a little bit above it, there is a very old bridge that nobody uses.. I knew that someday this place was going to be discovered and used for some exciting stuff. I was very happy to see it in the big screen. It is about 2 hours away from the state Capital of Veracruz. That place is surrounded by coffee plantations and banana trees. The jungle is so beautiful there. Most of the flowers there, are orchids. In the winter time, this place is just hidden by fog!
