Also known as The Dome Church in English, this church was added later between 1679 & 1706 after Hotel des Invalides was completed. It was orignally built for the exclusive use of the king and his guests. The dome, reputed to be the highest in Paris, is gilded and some 12 tonnes of gold was used during its restoration in 1989.
