Start of the Total Eclipse August 1999<br> Views and Vistas in France picture - This campsite was just south of Laon, and for most of the time I could not directly observe the eclipse as I had recently had a cataract operation. However views of the campsite do give an impression. The cool box with a mirror on top of it projected a good image of the sun onto the side of my caravan.
