Heres another aspect of Mindelo. Behind the city centre spread an infinite poor suburb loosing itself until the tops of the neighbouring dry hills. Poverty is more striking in relatively big cities. Those districts are like a concentrated representation of poverty in Cape Verde, reminding the periphery of South American big cities.
