I have looked at this picture in great depth and believe it is of ---Lake Matheson on the West Coast and the mountain in the background is Mt Tasman or Mt Cook or both.

Mt Hutt is on the eastern side of the Southern Alps and is viewed on your right hand side travelling from north to south.
