In stark contrast to the Baroque style of the churches we saw in Germany, the Romanian Orthodox style of decoration places more emphasis on paintings than on precious-metal ornamentation. Virtually all of the chapels you will see in Romania feature artwork of this sort on the interiors. This view looks up into the tower of the Lainici chapel.
