<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> Noen Wong Fortress<br> Attractions &#38; Amusements in Eastern Thailand picture - This Fortress was built(according to what I read) in the reign of King Rama 3 for defending purposes of the Vietnamese&#39;s invading. There are another historical sites in the area including the Wat Yothanimitra, and Marine Historical Museum. You can go up to the stairs to see up-close the cannons. They were formed into circles all over the place. And the entrance of the fortress looks pretty by the very old ruins. For me, it&#39;s refreshing up there as there are trees around. You can walk through, too. Directions: Take the Tachalab Road for I guess around 6 kms or so and turn right for another half km. You can always ask some locals. Remember, its always nice to tour around Chanthaburi by yourself </div></nolayer></noembed>
