Israel, The blooming land

I like to think that Israel is not just a disturbing item on the news, mostly wrongly biased in favour of the Palestinians, showing them as the victims of Israeli oppression. It is not just a tragic place, where palestinian suicide bomber blow themselves in public places and people get shot on the roads (Since the year 2001. It has not always been like that...) Well, the situation is very complex, both sides suffer, and these two different societies and cultures claim the same piece of land, and find it hard to co-exist.

Divine Israel
Israel is God's chosen country. The third temple will be built in Jerusalem. As a Gentile Indian, I pray God to protect all Jews and bless the generations to come. Jesus will come by the Eastern Gate when the third temple is complete. Then, both Jews and Gentiles will come in faith and worship the Messaiah. Those who accept Jesus as their personal saviour, will be with him in the Thousand Year Millennial Reign of Christ. God, bless Israel and the Jews.

Dear Shulamit,

The flowers are great, though they made me cry. Last time I saw them was last spring in my olive orchard 9 kms from my house in Palestine. The trip takes 3-4 hours because of the Israeli military checkpoints.

I think there will never be "real peace" in Palestine unless the two peoples accept to live equally in ONE democratic state. Religions should be something personal and should have nothing to do with who rules. In that state one (a Jew, Muslim or Christian) should be free to live in East Jerusalem, Haifa, Hebron, Nazareth, Nablus, Acre, Ramallah or in Beersheba if he can afford it. As a Palestinian, I accept this, and I know that my people would accept it, too. Would the Israelis accept it? Such a solution would solve the "Israeli-Palestinian" problem for ever. Other solutions originating from power and selfishness will only postpone disastrous future wars.
