From Category 3 to Category 4 in a matter of minutes, when Hurricane Charley struck on Friday, August 13th 2004.. it was truely and unlucky day for the residents in and surrounding Port Charlotte Florida. 23 deaths were associated with the storm, and it was lucky for my grandparents that they were visiting us here in Connecticut when it hit. They drove back to Florida on Sunday.. to find their house battered and without power on Monday. Mold abound, they needed help.. to dig out and clean up.
