We made our way into Canberra, the capital city of Australia. When Australia became a country, there were many arguments about where the capital should be, either in Melbourne or in Sydney. Eventually they just decided to build a capital halfway between the two cities, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Canberra is a planned city, and that's very obvious. It has a very orderly feel- somewhat bland, but relaxed and calming. We arrived in the afternoon, stayed overnight, and then caught some of the sights the next day.
