admiration & envy
Fantastic photos! They're all so well done & amazingly composed, but the wildlife photos of pronghorns (nursing even?)& big horn sheep are amazing! What a family portrait! Did you drive Jim crazy with the camera or does he cope well?

Thanks so much for your comments, Phil. I thought of you often as I was hiking around the Black Hills, and wondered what you would see through the lens.

We were in the Black Hills for just only two days, so we made the most of our time and of the best daylight. Who would ever believe Jim could get me up at 5:30 on vacation to capture the early morning light? I'm so glad he did.

Worldisround welcomes another fine travel photographer as Jeannie Zolbe makes her debut here. An excellent article, featuring two remarkable images. My favorite is George Washington, Pillar of Strength, looming over the trees with the sunlight painting his face in gold. And my other favorite is the shot of those Bighorn Sheep taking care of their business, especially the one in the middle. Marvelous incongruity. Keep up the good job, Jeannie.
