Ten years after our first visit to Mount Rushmore, we revisited this colossal sculpture of Gutzon Borglum. We found this 'Shrine of Democracy' had been changed and made more accessible to take a closer view. Through the Avenue of the Flags you reach the Grand View Terrace, and from there you can descend the stairs to have a very nice walk along the Presidential Trail. Now there is a better opportunity to take pictures of these four presidents representing the first 150 years of American history.
