In July 2004 (winter) I travelled with my family to visit relatives living in Port Hedland. Port Hedland is a major coastal town in the Pilbara region of WA. Inland of Port Hedland is the small historic township of Marble Bar which has long been known as the hottest town in Australia. We spent a few days in and around Marble Bar and would like to share some of the rugged beauty of the area with you.
