(My friend Garnet outside the Blue Mosque, Istanbul, after a snowfall) 12/29/92 -- The day started at Bangkok International Airport waiting for a flight to Istanbul. The flight was great, providing some majestic views of snow-capped peaks in Iran, and a trippy fuelstop at Dubai Airport. There was snow on the ground in Istanbul too, as this photo shows.
