01/20/93 -- I slept in, registered my passport with the police, and then went on a felucca trip to Kitchener Island, which was nice but not spectacular. The day was dull, but the night was exceptional. We stumbled upon a Nubian street wedding party. As soon as we arrived some kids grabbed us by the hand to dance with the all-male crowd to synthesised Arab rock -- I was virtually mobbed by crowds of guys, and led from one little circle to the next.
