Spent the first day hiking in and setting up a base camp. The hike in was a map navigation in which I planned on following a stream into a valley where a trail is. I ended up stuck in the muck for about five hours to cover 2 miles. The brush was 4-6 feet tall and VERY dense for most of the hike. Also there were MANY ruts and "streamlets" a foot to three feet deep. Of course I had zero visability in any direction, so both speedy and I would fall into every other one.
