If you like challenging but beautiful hikes, Mineral King area is waiting for you. Our first hike (Monarch Lakes & Sawtooth Pass) was probably the most difficult one. During the 2nd hike (Franklin Lake), we saw a lot of wildflowers. We wanted to see some sequoias so we hiked around Atwell Mill: a little disappointing because of recent fires. Then we drove to the Giant Forest and saw General Sherman. For our 4th long hike, we decided to go to Pear Lake: magnifique!!!
