Tomb of Hafez of Shiraz - Iran
North Africa/Middle East picture - Hafez of Shiraz who lived in the 14th century (AD)ranks as one of Iran's greatest natioanl poets, right up there along with Rumi, Ferdowsi and Nezami. His master work "Divan-e Hafez" is used by many Iranians as a sort of spiritual guidance as well as for fortune telling. His tomb is located in a most lovely Persian garden in the so called "city of roses and nightingales", Shiraz in southern Iran. It is from this lovely city that the wine branded as "Shiraz" got its name.
