Zorastrian temples, synagogues, churches and mosques have always stood side by side in Iranian society. The religious minorities are also represented in Iran&#39;s parliament. Although Islam preaches tolerance towards other religions and most Islamic societies throughout history has practiced it, religious freedom and tolerance in Iran existed even in pre-Islamic times. </div></nolayer></noembed>
