You can only appreciate the incredibly beautiful details of this master piece if you click on the "View full-size image" link under the picture. The interior of the "Imam Mosque" aka the "Shah Mosque" after the revolution of 1979 (Isfahan). The title of "Emam" in Iran is used for the 12 consecutive Saints of the so called "Velaayat" of Shia Islam, whose mission was to safeguard the Divine Truths. The 12th Emam, aka as "Mehdi" disappeared at the age of 5, and will return as a Messiah one day when corruption, arrogance and decadence have reached titanic levels (Sounds like it could be anytime soon...)
