Alam Kooh in Northern Iran - aka as "Iran's Switzerland". It's hard to imagine that a plane ride of just 50 minutes southwards to Iran's Khuzestan Province by the Persian Gulf will land you in a tropical climate of some 25-30 degrees Celsius (77 - 86 Farenheit) and a landscape dotted with palm trees, while this part of Northern Iran is covered in ice and snow.
