I share the sentiment of others that it is so wonderful that you were able to get these spectacular photographs on the last beautiful Sunday of the Twin-Towers' existence. Ironically my wife and I were on a cruise ship returning from the Caribbean and were pulling into the New York Harbor past the Twin Towers on September 9th, 2001 to dock on the West-Side. We were planning on going to Windows On The World within the next next week or two, and unfortunately, that is something that never was going to happen. I could never have dreamed they wouldn't be there in a couple of days.

As a boy growing up in North Jersey within earshot of the city, these towers came to symbolize New York to me and millions of others. The loss of these wonderful architectural landmarks saddens me very deeply, and my heart goes out to all who were affected by the attacks. Let's all stand together, Love each other, and remember....God Bless America.

I had been up late working the night of Sept. 10th, So, I was sleeping-in when a friend called & told me a jet had hit the "Twin Towers". Now,where I live in Downtown Los Angeles, they call the Main Jail the "Twin Towers".So, I hung-up the phone, scrambled for my Pentax, & was out the door (like a complete buffoon)down to the Jail-house.My most heart felt condolances to all those affected.It is compounded by Americas (untill Sept.11th)virtual absence of attacks on our home soil.We have truly been blessed....Knock on wood..

I did not want to look at your photos, I am so glad I did, they ARE lovely, my eyes fill with tears, I watched it all on tv here in Australia, I wept for all the lost and their families, then on the 4th October my eldest son of 39 was stabbed to death in a domestic dispute, then I knew what it realy felt like for all of those families who lost their loved ones, thank you for sharing them with the world. My husband and son visited the towers in 2000, they treasure the pictures and the awesome experience they had when at the top. It's SO SAD.
The WTC tragedy is an event that will NEVER BE FORGETTEN! It'll serve as a reminder to the world the need for greater vigilance so that this HORRENDOUZ event NEVER happens again.
