Probably the most famous scientist to walk through this entrance for decades was the late Dr Gerhard Herzberg, &#34;the father of modern molecular spectroscopy&#34;, who won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1971. One of the laboratories is named in his honour. </div></nolayer></noembed>
